OUR COMMITMENTS

Authenticity guaranteed by our T&Cs

Blue Gold is committed to selling you original equipment, exclusively sourced from the European market. Article 9.2 of our Terms and Conditions is very clear on this point:

“BLUE GOLD is committed to delivering authentic products to its customers. If, by any chance, BLUE GOLD were to fail in this commitment, the customer could in no way be held responsible towards the manufacturer, the judicial authorities, or their own customers.”

The sale of counterfeit goods is prohibited by law

The distribution of counterfeit products is a serious offense under Belgian law, governed by the Act of May 15, 2007, on the repression of counterfeiting and piracy of intellectual property rights and Article XV.103 of the Code of Economic Law (CEL).

As such, no company can sell counterfeit goods, and Blue Gold is no exception to the rule. Such actions would expose us to legal proceedings, with consequences both financial and reputational. Therefore, the commitment made in our T&Cs does not constitute a significant risk for us, but it does contribute to reassuring our customers.

Longevity, reputation, and growth:
indicators of our credibility

Since 1996, Blue Gold has been distributing electrical equipment to its Belgian and European customers. If our activities were against the law, we would have simply disappeared.

Moreover, the growth of our company and its network of European partners is further evidence of the quality of our services and the satisfaction of our customers.

A warranty at least
equivalent to that of the manufacturers

As a customer of Blue Gold, you benefit from warranty conditions that are at least equivalent to those offered by the manufacturers of the ordered products.

Any warranty returns can be made upon simple presentation of the invoice. The returned product will then be inspected by our services and/or our suppliers to determine if the normal use criteria have been met.

Equipment fully compliant with European standards and thus usable without restriction in Belgium

A standard is a document that attests that a product or service meets a certain level of quality, safety, and reliability. In Belgium, the most well-known conformity mark in our sector is (SGS) CEBEC.

On the other hand, European standards (EN or NE) are documents that have been ratified by one of the three European standardization organizations (ETSI, CENELEC, or CEN).

What you need to know is that the European standard (EN) takes precedence over any national standard. This means that you can use the products we market throughout the Belgian territory.

Thus, all EU member states must transpose European standards into national standards. Member states are also required to withdraw any contradictory national standards. This obligation facilitates the free movement of goods within the EU.

A small nuance: it is not the "CE" marking that makes our products compliant with European standards. Indeed, the "CE" marking is applied by the manufacturer, who thereby certifies that their product complies with the European "Low Voltage" directive. But the manufacturer could very well apply this marking to their products without having conducted the necessary checks.

To avoid any conflict of interest, alongside this "CE" marking, there are what are called quality marks: CEBEC in Belgium, NF in France, or VDE in Germany, to name a few. These private and independent bodies test the equipment submitted by the manufacturer and declare it compliant (or not) with European standards in terms of quality (safety, etc.).

Therefore, it is the presence of a quality mark (and not the "CE" marking) from a European body that really matters.

European references equivalent to Belgian references

With each processed order, Blue Gold checks the equivalence between the ordered references and the deliverable references. This sometimes results in substantial savings.

However, double referencing is not systematic: it is decided by the manufacturer and only applies to certain items. There are also a number of Belgian items that have no equivalent abroad, and vice versa.

Although relatively rare, this situation is most often explained in two ways:

  1. A new product is tested in a group of countries (including Belgium) before being marketed on a larger scale;
  2. An old product is gradually being withdrawn from sale by the manufacturer but has not yet been withdrawn in Belgium.

Note that the reverse is also possible! If you wish to order a product classified as "obsolete" in Belgium, we may still be able to obtain it for you abroad.

If you wish to order specific references (Belgian or foreign) without equivalence, do not hesitate to contact us beforehand! Our teams will do their best to meet your expectations.

Rigorous and precise quality returns management

Blue Gold has developed an "internal quality returns management procedure" to prepare for any eventuality. This procedure is available to all our customers and prospects upon request.

We require all our suppliers to notify us immediately in case of a quality alert. Additionally, Blue Gold conducts daily informational monitoring of the various products in our catalog.

Since our creation, we have never had to implement this procedure.

Have you heard that Blue Gold
was distributing counterfeit products?

Since the creation of Blue Gold in 1996, this rumor has regularly surfaced. Even more concerning: some competitors suggest that Blue Gold has been convicted of selling counterfeit products. These accusations are completely false.

If you witness such claims, ask your interlocutor to provide them to you in writing. This way, you can gauge how convinced your interlocutor is of their own statements.

If you become aware of this rumor, even verbally, we invite you to contact us so that we can pass the information on to our legal department. Such allegations could lead to severe legal consequences for both the author and the distributor. Articles 443 to 453 of the Belgian Penal Code relating to slander and defamation detail the penalties for spreading false information intended to harm the reputation of others, including legal entities such as Blue Gold.
